Kody C Jones is a multifaceted artist and educator with a profound commitment to the world of theatre. Holding a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Western Illinois University, along with degrees in Secondary Education and Acting from the University of Michigan, Kody's passion for the stage has fueled a prolific career spanning nearly two decades. His journey has been marked by diverse leadership roles, from serving as the Artistic Director of Shawnee Summer Theatre in Indiana to The Stage of Island Park in Fargo, North Dakota.

Kody's dedication to arts education has shone through in his contributions to companies like the American Theatre Company, Arts 4 All in Chicago, the National Theatre for Children in Minnesota, and the Flint Repertory Theatre of Michigan. In Southwest Florida, Kody held the position of Director of Education at Florida Repertory Theatre for seven years before venturing into new horizons as the owner and Artistic Director of Elevate Acting Studio. As a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), he has played a vital role in shaping the world of theatre, both on and off the stage.

Kody's artistic endeavors extend beyond the traditional, as he has spearheaded innovative works and adaptations that challenge and captivate audiences. Notably, he conceived and directed "Bulletproof Backpack" in collaboration with Broadway playwright Eric Coble, a thought-provoking production that explores contemporary issues. His collaboration with Coble also resulted in the stage adaptation of the New York Times Bestseller "REFUGEE" by Alan Gratz. Beyond these achievements, Kody has breathed new life into classics, such as his immersive outdoor version of "Lord of the Flies." Currently, he is in the process of adapting the Holocaust-centered novel

"The Boy From Block 66," set to premiere in the winter of 2025.

Kody is not only a creative force but also a dedicated scholar of the arts. He has played a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of theatre talents through his work with The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and his decade-long commitment to the Southeastern Theatre Conference, where he serves as Chair of Acting and actively engages in various committees. Alongside his scholarly pursuits, Kody continues to freelance as an actor and director, with upcoming productions in Iowa and Georgia, while also lending his expertise as a fight choreographer for Southwest Florida theatres and serving as a Resident Director at Arts Bonita.
